Polyot Restaurant

Polyot

Polyot is a restaurant interior located in Moscow. The design recalls the setting of a science fiction film. Sleek steel shapes and portholes at the entrance make the space resemble the cabin of a space shuttle. Minimalism is a guiding principle, so patterns and ornaments are absent from the walls and from the design elements. Large shining objects are used instead. Two silver figures, each 3.6 meters tall, stand on symmetric columns at the entrance. All furniture and lighting were custom made for the project.

Dance Anatomy Ring and Earrings

Dance Anatomy

Dance Anatomy is a jewelry collection inspired by contemporary dance. The three objects, produced in two colors, reinterpret the human body through bionic lines and shapes. Fixed dance positions were studied, and muscle tension, relaxation and stretching were translated into a simplified graphic language. The forms are 3D printed in nylon, which makes the pieces flexible and resistant to damage. Two of the three objects can be worn as earrings or as pendants, because the silver earwire can be replaced with a lace or a chain.

Superegg Sculpture Installation

Superegg

Superegg represents the rapid multiplying of single use coffee capsules, which symbolises human convenience and its impact on the environment. Appearing levitated above ground, the textured geometric superegg shape, as documented by mathematician Gabriel Lame, is dotted with random discarded coffee capsules arranged into perfect lines. The visceral experience engages the viewer from all angles and distances. Over 3000 capsules were collected via a call to action on social media and the local community. Superegg allows the viewer to peruse waste and encourages new recycling habits.

Lougang City CBD for Taihu

Lougang City

Lougang City CBD of Taihu Lake is an urban design for a new central business district in Huzhou, China. The plan is inspired by the local Lougang irrigation system and its ecological pattern. Located on the southern bank of Taihu Lake, the district includes an internal lake channeled from the lake to form waterfront public spaces. Two pedestrian skywalks connect the transport hub with the skyscraper complex and the exhibition park, separating vehicle traffic from pedestrian flows. The plan also sets aside 132 hectares of ecological area.

AdaptDx Pro Measures Dark Adaptation

AdaptDx Pro

AdaptDx Pro is a wearable dark adaptometer used to measure dark adaptation for the early detection of age-related macular degeneration. The headset replaces a large tabletop system and a darkened test room by forming a personal light-tight testing space. A padded head strap and an overhead strap allow adjustment, and single use comfort guards on the eye cups support comfort and hygiene. A digital assistant named Theia uses artificial intelligence and voice prompts to guide each patient. Infrared cameras locate the pupil and small motors align the optics. A front display shows test status.
